Craig M. Bonnist

Craig represents management and individuals in all types of employment disputes before the New York and New Jersey federal and state trial and appellate courts, as well as litigates compensation claims at arbitrations before FINRA and the AAA. He has also successfully litigated numerous cases through verdict and has obtained notable and published verdicts. He has successfully defended his clients against allegations of sexual harassment, race, disability, gender and age discrimination; retaliation; and wrongful discharge. Craig regularly litigates before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state and local discrimination agencies.

Craig’s employment practice also includes negotiating and drafting employment contracts, separation, release, confidentiality, non-solicitation and non-compete agreements.

In addition, Craig also practices in the area of Commercial Litigation before the federal and state courts in New York and New Jersey. Craig’s Commercial practice includes both the defense and counseling of businesses in connection with contracts, regulatory issues, formation, sale and dissolution issues.

Craig received his undergraduate degree in Economics and Business from Lafayette College and his J.D. degree from American University. He is admitted to the state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey. After receiving his degree, and prior to establishing his own practice, Craig practiced Labor and Employment law and Commercial Litigation with the firm Putney Twombly Hall & Hirson in its Manhattan office. He has also been a CNBC contributor on employment issues and has offered employment advice in financial publications. Craig currently serves as a Co-Chair of the Westchester County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section.
